Camp Jonah Staff

E-Banquet 2008

E-Banquet 2008

Welcome to the Jonah Ministries 2008 E-Banquet! Thanks so much for stopping by! Feel free to look around, check out the menu of great staff we have this summer, and consider making a donation to our Staff Scholarship Fund! Any funds raised at this E-Banquet will go toward scholarships for some of the full-time staff, as well as to cover the costs of a retreat for all of the summer volunteers.

Our goal is to match the generous $5000 gift of the Homeland Missions Board at Jefferson Baptist Church and meet the financial needs of our summer staff. If you will give even the money you would have spent on gas and childcare to attend our regular banquet, we'll be one step closer to providing for our hard-working volunteers. So will you prayerfully consider giving to our Staff Scholarship Fund?

Menu

Appetizer Jonah Ministries is served by a summer staff of 24 high school and college-aged young men and women that volunteer their time to be here. For many of them, this represents a great financial sacrifice. Our Staff Scholarship Fund allows us to provide scholarships and ease the financial burden for some of our full-time staff each summer. This year we have ten applicants, all college students volunteering for the full summer.

Salad We chose to throw an E-Banquet instead of a regular banquet in order to steward our resources in the most effective way possible, and to allow us to focus our energy on this summer's ministry instead. Just think, you can stay home with your family for an evening and perhaps channel the money that would have been spent on gas, childcare, and food (just think of the calories we're saving you!) into a fund that will benefit our dedicated, incredible Summer Staff.

Entree Camp Name: Stonewall
Position: Adventure Camp Director
Jonah Experience: 7 years as staff/4 yrs as camper
Why are you working at Jonah this summer? After Micah stepped down as last year's adventure camp director, he approached me about becoming this summer's adventure camp director. I have been a part of the adventure program for a long time here, and I couldn't love it more. As I thought and prayed about it, I realized that was where God wanted me for the summer. It was a dream job, and I couldn't be happier!
Hobbies: Exploring, finding new places, caving, fires, playing music, writing, all sports, studying history, eating (especially apples and rice!)
Life dreams: I've always said I have three dream jobs: 1) smoke jumper 2) big cat trainer 3) storm chaser in Nebraska or something; but realistically, I'm majoring in history in college, and I would love to teach someday, or be an attorney.
