1. Thank you, Alex, for giving several weeks of hard work recently to help us finish the Chapel!
2. Thank you, Heith, for arranging tape & texturers so quickly and for charging us the very least you could!
3. Thank you, Chris, Dave & Kim, for coming for a weekend retreat and ending up putting in many long hours of taping and priming!
4. Thank you, Todd & Brian (and your wives & kids), for working so many overtime hours recently to help us finish the Chapel!
5. Thank you Summers Floor and Design for selling us carpet at cost!
6. Thank you, Bill (& Connie), for giving us two long days of painting at no cost!
7. Thank you, Carlos and daughters, for laying the carpet at no cost-on Sunday, no less!
8. Thank you to the generous, godly couple who saw the vision of a completed Chapel and wrote us two generous checks: one for $2000 as a donation, one for $8000 for a no interest, no terms, pay-when-you-can loan! Spending a few hours with you both the other day was so uplifting to Jeff and me. We want to know God like you know God. Thank you.
In the midst of the rush and flurry of getting the Chapel finished and a wedding planned, my mind still was aware of the typical low-income, high-expense month of October and the bills that are due. My favorite God & me verse during these times "O Lord save us; O Lord grant us success" has been my 24/7 private prayer.
9. So, imagine our excitement at the out-of-the-blue $1150 and $500 checks that came in the mail a few days ago. I was also overcome with emotion as I opened all the first-of-the-month donations that some of you send every month (for so many years)!
No, I'm not finished yet. The praises are still coming!
10. Jeff & I love the way that the Lord has answered our prayers for the perfect husband for our daughter, Angie. We prayed for 22 years for a man who would be her best friend and her spiritual leader. Jr is the answer to all those prayers! Their October 3rd wedding was amazing!
11. Jeff knew without question that we could not go one more winter without fixing the bad leaks in the roof over our main building. He raised $5000 and stepped out in faith for the rest. The spray-on foam coating was applied last week, just prior to days on end of rain. THE ROOF OVER THE MAIN BUILDING NO LONGER LEAKS! The next blessing: what he thought might cost $12,000 ended up being less than $8000! (If you'd like to help with the balance, let Jeff know.)
