Q.
What does a weekend at Camp Jonah look like?
A.
Come find out on January 22-24. Due to a last-minute cancellation, we're opening up our facilities and activities and home-cooked meals at 1/3 the cost for you and your family members. For just $25 each, you can attend our first Family Winter Weekend and make memories playing in the gym, the snow, attending chapel, eating great food and sleeping in dorm rooms. Don't just automatically say no, but give this some serious consideration and call or email today to register!

Q.

What's so important about our new website?
A.
It's finally here! Check it out now for our easy, new online registration (coming soon), 2010 camp information, and quick links to camp photos, news and needs, and our blog!

Q.
Which of these four checks that came in the mail today is most important: $3000, $10, $50 or $100?
A.
All of them. Each gift was given from the heart and each gift added together means more ministry. We appreciate and pray for our donors. It takes so many people working together to keep Camp Jonah on its feet. Thank you to each of you on our Team!

Q.

What's the big deal about two more dorm rooms?
A.
Twelve more beds just in time for 110 students and leaders that are attending Jr. High Winter Camp! Thank you to Harlan, Todd, and Nathan for making this all happen in a very timely manner!

Q.

What's up with the Bus Barn these days?
A.
We have a new camp store and hang-out area called The Lunch Counter and a new Rec Room! Recent gifts of a pool table and an air hockey table, added to our ping pong, carpet ball and foosball tables, make for a great new Rec Room, which is right next to The Lunch Counter. All this is housed in the lower floor of our new Bus Barn. This dream is a reality due to the generous donors who helped us to purchase the Bus Barn nearly a year ago!

Q.
What have we been doing since Christmas?
A.
From December 27-January 3 we hosted three groups: 162 Total Guests, 24 Staffies, 17 Meals, 3 Shopping Trips, 2 Snow Days, 1 Caving Expedition, Fireworks, a Nap or Two, More Cleaning, A Little Sleep and A Lot of Ministry. We tried to take 24 hours off and now we're preparing for Jr. High Winter Camp, which brings with it 110 students and their leaders. So much fun, so much ministry, so many lives reached with a great message challenging them to pursue Jesus!

Q.
When do summer staff apply?
A.
Now! If you're age 16 or older and have prayed about this decision, please request our 2010 staff application, fill it out and send it back soon! I'm confident that this experience will change your life!

Q.
How much is summer camp?
A.
Due to the economy and our desire to encourage families to choose camp, we've put a price freezeon all our camps this year. Please go to our website www.campjonah.com and check out what we have to offer. If you'd like to make payments, just pay the $50 deposit and let us now how much you'd like to pay each month! "Do Hard Things" is our 2010 Summer Camp Theme. This will be a summer of challenging teens to "Rebel against low expectations and pursue God in everything."

Q.

Does Jonah Ministries still experience miracles?
A.
Yes! Daily! Just this past week, we saw God bring snow for a group when it wasn't even in the forecast. We also filled our empty pantry with $1,700 worth of groceries and had gifts totaling $1,700 come in the next day-on a Sunday, no less! We have been the recipients of thoughtful, amazing, generous year-end gifts. We've had Holy Spirit filled Winter Camps with safety, changed lives, new youth groups, lots of fun, and we're extremely busy. All miraculous gifts from our Camp Director!
