"Before I came to work here I had a desire in my heart, I knew I needed a job but there was also a longing within me for two things: to do something I loved, and change the same atmosphere I had always run into. I was so exhausted with the world and its chill. God gave me more than I asked for. Working here has been wonderful. It convicted me in ways I didn't know I needed. I saw for the first time that although I knew how I felt for God, and knew where I stood in my heart with God, I wasn't communicating it. You helped me see this in myself. So often you would talk of the blessings God has given in your live. You inspired me to turn my faith from a whisper to a shout. I'll never forget that day when we saw the huge rainbow and the daffodils growing up from the wall of your building. Seeing those flowers come up like that just struck me - God really looks down on this place and smiles."

Welcome to Jonah Ministries

Where Kids Laugh, Hearts Change and God Smiles

Jonah Ministries is dedicated to presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ and promoting spiritual growth in a Christian environment through fun, God-honoring Camps and Retreats. We are a non-denominational, year-round camp known for our fun, safe, affordable, Christian "theme" camps for grades 2-12. Our awesome location also makes us a sought-after destination for year-round youth retreats of up to 100 guests. We are conveniently located only an hour and a half east of Portland, Oregon at the base of Mt. Adams in Trout Lake, Washington. We like to say that God is our Camp Director. We have two goals at Jonah Ministries - that each camper would take the next step in their walk with the Lord and that they would HAVE FUN!

Theme Camps

We invite you to take advantage of a different "theme" camp each week of the summer. Each camp is a hands-on experience staffed by hand-picked counselors and support staff. Each summer we offer the following: Girls Home Ec Camp, Music/Drama Day Camp, Kids Mission Camp, Jr. Variety Camp, Extreme Adventure Camp, Jr. High Adventure Camp, High School Adventure Camp details

Retreats

We are known for our home-cooked meals, helpful and friendly staff, amazing location, numerous on- and off-campus activities, homey atmosphere, and high return rate. We invite you to come as our guest and leave as our friend. details
